Body of War: War in Iraq
The podcast is a public service. It exposes the official lies. What it leaves out is the political and economic reasons why they invaded. They seized control of Iraqi oil not only for the oil, itself, but also to dominate countries dependent upon it. These include Russia, China and France. Already, more than one million Iraqis have been killed. Iran and its oil likely are next. The other countries will hardly accept being conquered. They would have virtually no choice but resistance. Should the US try to use force to impose this program, world war would be imminent. Such a conflict would involve economically and militarily powerful countries around the world. Tens of millions of casualties would result. Indeed, the future of humanity would be imperiled. In fact, it already is.
The people of the US must intervene to control their rulers. Who else could do it?
When will it show in Baltimore?
The Maryland Film Festival begins next Thursday, May 1, but Body of War isn't on the schedule (yet). Does anyone know if there's a chance it might be shown?
Also, the movie is not yet on the near-future coming attractions lists at the four cinemas I checked - Senator/Rotunda, Charles, and Landmark Harbor East.
Don't know.
Apparently Landmark was considering showing it. I do not know of any plans to show it--but a call to the Charles or the Senator may help? Tell them you want this shown!
It was in DC at the E street Cinema, but seems to have moved on.
Showing of Body of War
Phil Donahue was on CSpan today talking about this documentary. He said they have a deal with Landmark to show the film. It sounds like it is just starting to head across the country. So keep checking the Landmark schedule.
