Teeth and Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Saw two movies this weekend. One was at The Charles and it was the strange, hilarious independent movie TEETH. This movie takes the myth of the vagina dentata and imagines what would happen if a 15 year old girl suddenly realized she had one. It's hilarious, scary, disturbing, and a must-see.

Then on Sunday I went to Landmark Theaters down in Harbor East and saw the new Jud Apatow (Knocked Up, 40 Year Old Virgin) produced movie called Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It is the story of a man who is dumped by his television star girlfriend. He attempts to forget her by going on a fancy vacation in Hawaii--but when he arrives at the resort, he finds her vacationing there with her British rocker boyfriend! I am always impressed at the consistent quality of everything put out under the Apatow banner. He's really rescued the romantic comedy genre from itself.

Don't see either of these movies if you have a delicate disposition!
