I have seriously mixed feelings about this rescue/bailout plan. As someone who lives paycheck to paycheck (hooray for stagnating wages!)and doesn't have much in an IRA, this financial crisis isn't going to affect me very much unless I lose my job over it. However, I do understand how important the free flow of credit is to keeping our economy moving. I would much rather have a more progressive bill be approved, but I also think something needs to be passed sooner rather than later.
Blech, one of the things that really makes me sick over this whole thing is hearing reports about how lobbying firms have clients lining up around the corners, all of whom want their piece of the bailout pie.
